Strong communication is instated in each candidate and all individuals are enrolled in our Basic English Language development course. Safety and Environmental Sustainability are given special emphasis and are built on as an integral parts of the syllabi.

Japanese Language Lab

Developed for the Technical Intern Training Program , the Japanese Language Lab offers to upgrade trainees’ competency in the Japanese Language. Each class consists of 12 to 15 students with multiple sections running simultaneously. The class sizes are kept deliberately small to provide each student with complete instructor care and promote exceptional IT skill development .

On the first day of the course, every student is asked to do an Initial Assessment (IAs) which assesses all four language skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. The IAs is designed to highlight the student’s strengths and weaknesses. After conducting the IAs, groups are formed on the basis of the student’s level of linguistic ability.

Based on IAs, every student receives their individualized learning plan with targets. The targets are monitored weekly through formative assessments and individual tutorials.  Once reviewed, students receive a new set of targets for the following week. Weekly assessments and tutorials, map a student’s progress in an on-going basis till the end of the curriculum and before conducting the final summative assessment.

Weaker students are supported with extra tutorial classes where the individual’s particular weaknesses are addressed in a one-on-one basis to provide the student with the best learning opportunities. Furthermore, a student can repeat or be promoted to an advanced group depending on their Japanese language progress.

Additionally, students are introduced to the Japanese customs and skills by native Japanese tutors. The instructors use multimedia, role playing and learning exercises to make each session interactive and engaging. The aim of the programme is to provide the students with an insight into Japanese culture and incorporate full participation.
