Centre for Vocational Training (CVT) is a sister concern of Ahmed & Company, launched to elevate the technical proficiencies of Bangladeshi workers in Marine, Oil and Gas (offshore & onshore), Heavy Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, Healthcare, Agriculture projects and Process industry trades for employment locally and abroad. Our attainable skills standard and syllabus on different courses recognized by the Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) and the Oil and Gas processing industry.
Inaugurated in close collaboration with training consultants and technical experts from Singapore, CVT offers trade testing facilities and accredited courses developed according to world class standards. CVT’s primary objective is to train a pool of highly competent industry tradesmen who are capable to work in the-most challenging and demanding environments across the world. It seeks to provide affordable training in both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding for workers who aspire to attain the highest skills in various specialty industries.

CVT has been selected in the Skills for Employment Investment Programme (SEIP) financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Government of Bangladesh and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Under the National Skills Development Policy (2011) headed by the Honarable Prime Minister, the Finance Division has established ‘Skill Development Coordination and Monitoring Unit’ (SDCMU) to execute the investment program which will support the Government of Bangladesh’s reforms in skills development. After completion of the SEIP program, Det Norske Veritas (Norway) and Germanischer Lloyd (Germany) provides Welder’s Qualification Test Certificate to the successful candidates.
CVT’s Technical Intern Training Program ( TITP ) also known as Skills and Technology Transfer Project is a private arrangement between Bangladesh and JITCO (Japan) that allows the acceptance of skilled workers from developing countries like Bangladesh to participate in a Training Program facilitated by Japanese companies. Our Japanese Language Lab offers to upgrade trainees’ competency in the Japanese Language and provide the students with an insight into Japanese culture.
The facilities boasts over 50 Welding Booths, 15 Gas Cutting Bays, Mechanical, Electrical and Scaffolding Training Areas with state of the art modern equipment. The management, trainers and staff have been carefully selected with the right experiences to provide our candidates with the best learning opportunities.
